Cyclone Idai: Help us protect the lives of children affected

Cyclone Idai hit Mozambique and the surrounding region on Friday, March 15 causing massive devastation and placing already vulnerable children at risk. The United Nations say more than 1.7 million people in Mozambique, including an estimated 260,000 children, have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Idai. The killer storm also caused damage in neighboring Zimbabwe and compounded the humanitarian emergency in Malawi, where an estimated 920,000 people were still coping with devastating flooding from an earlier storm.

Please send help now. Every day, children and families around the world are struggling, from Southern Africa to Latin America to Syria. Disaster, war, disease, and poverty rob millions of children of the care they need — a safe place to live, healthy meals, quality medical care, the opportunity to go to school and some times even the support of a caring parent. Support our Children in Crisis Fund Today.

SOS Children’s Villages has worked tirelessly in 135 countries to help children, families and communities that need it the most. Give a tax-deductible gift today, and you will provide life-saving support to vulnerable children and families during disaster or crisis.
